Our “Unity Walk” was conceived to celebrate and to honor the vision D’ymond desired for a unified front to be on display - especially by her peers at her beloved alma mater, Delaware State University. This endeavor will feature participation of all the Black Greek-lettered organizations on DSU’s campus, together with representatives from the campus and community coming together to conclude Homecoming Weekend at DSU with a positive and collective approach to fellowship and family-oriented activity.

     Our “Unity Walk” will not only include an eclectic array of food and goodies, but the fellowship will also showcase the Greeks’ Tribute "Step Show" in honor of D’ymond memory.  Moreover, our Unity Walk will highlight the impact D’ymond had on her dear sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., as well as the indelible effect she had on the social organizations she interacted with during her tenure at DSU. Our Foundation will be ready to receive and accept your donations and any all types of assistance from the community.  We sincerely hope to make this annual undertaking an intent to grow and to develop enhanced experiences beyond the walk of unity and the congregation of social organizations.

     A literal walk and show of comradery will take place at a specified area of the park and will include a showcase of the Foundation's “prisms of service” that will be displayed in the pavilion area of the park. Our “Unity Walk” will be hosted by the CEO of the Foundation, Simone Byrd and the Executive Board.  Correspondence will be on hand to serve as additional information regarding our Foundation's mission and vision.
